Digital Farming Increases Consumer Confidence

“I became a beta tester because I wanted to keep up with the latest developments,” says farmer Bernd Olligs, explaining his reasons for participating in Bayer’s Digital Farming test series. At his farm in Rommerskirchen, Germany, he grows sugar beets, potatoes, winter wheat, winter barley, oilseed rape, and corn, and always bears the consumers’ interests in mind. “Thanks to digitization, we can make the use of crop protection products more transparent for consumers so that they know that crops are grown responsibly and that farmers are producing safe and healthy food,” he says.
